I first met Erin when she was a student at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois. Who knew our sweet babysitter was going to become one of my lovely clients??! I am always completely flattered to capture a wedding day of someone I know from my personal life. In fact, it intimidates me to death! What if they don’t like their pictures? What if something happens to their pictures? What if, what if, blah blah blah… The point is, working with someone you know is fun and challenging all at the same time, however, I am completely smitten with these photos, and I hope Erin and Carl feel the same 😉.
While I knew Erin from years past, I had never met Carl until we met up for their engagement session last spring. I immediately knew they were going to be a fun couple to photograph. Erin and Carl embody genuine and real personalities and love, which lucky for me, makes for gorgeous photos. Just like their engagement session, the wedding day at Fishermen’s Inn in Elburn, Illinois was beautiful… and it was *hot*! Like over 100 degrees hot (and add in the nats/mosquitoes for a perfect picture of the photo portion of their afternoon 😳-  we did a lot of fanning the bride that day 😁). Nevertheless, they both humored me by sticking it out for their photos, and I am so pleased and excited to share how beautifully they turned out. Erin and Carl, thank you for choosing me to capture your perfect day! I loved working with you and your families, and I can’t wait to see where the future takes you 😘.
*Also, a big shout out and thank you to my second photographer (and great friend) Stephanie. She *rocked* this day with me, and I love continuing to work with her. Check out her work at http://www.stephmphoto.com 🤩😊.*
