Even though I am from Bloomington-Normal, I mostly shoot weddings outside of the area. When Emily asked me to shoot her and Angelo’s wedding, I was so excited to be staying close to home and capturing their gorgeous day at two of my favorite local spots, Illinois Wesleyan University and Epiphany Farms. Ever since I was an undergrad at Illinois Wesleyan, I have been in love with the small chapel located on campus. Not only is Evelyn Chapel’s architecture beautiful, but the inside of the chapel is mostly WHITE (aka a wedding photographer’s dream :)). It is small and quaint, just like the Illinois Wesleyan, and it truly reflected the beauty of Emily and Angelo’s love for each other that was founded on campus. In many ways, Epiphany Farms is much of the same. It is a locally owned restaurant that is founded on the principle of “Farm to Fork,” meaning the company strives to keep money in the local economy and use resources from the community. How cool is that??! So while I loved pretty much everything about this wedding, I am obsessed the fact that Emily and Angelo chose intimate places for guests to help them celebrate their new life together.
From working with Emily and Angelo on their engagement pictures, to scheduling their beautiful day together, I loved every minute of coordinating and photographing this wedding. Thank you so much, Emily and Angelo, for choosing me as your wedding photographer! Cheers to your new marriage and beautiful life together!
